The market is changing in more ways than one - legally, culturally, economically, etc. The number of homes for sale has risen to levels not seen in nearly 10 years, so don’t create obstacles for potential buyers. If it’s too difficult to schedule a showing, agents and buyers will move on - there’s lots of other homes to see.
It’s a tough, competitive market for a seller, setting the right price is always most critical, but the other key element to a successful sale is easy access to view your property. Yes, it can be frustrating, yes it’s hard to leave your home on short notice, yes it’s difficult to keep your home “show” ready, yes it’s disruptive to your everyday life, and yes, you will experience “seller fatigue” especially when you’re not getting feedback on what the buyers liked or didn’t like, and why didn’t they make an offer. Truth is, the market is changing and the buyer’s agent is less likely to give you feedback. Real Estate Agents have a fiduciary duty to only act in the best interest of their client, and it’s hard to see how giving the seller feedback benefits the buyer, and in fact it could weaken their position to negotiate a purchase agreement with you later should they decide to move forward. In a changing market, buyers and sellers need to be certain their Realtor has a plan that is as dynamic as the environment we’re in 🤩
